Seattle Times: How to find affordable child care and child care subsidies in WA

Washington leaders have recently taken steps to expand child care access in communities across the state, but it’s still difficult for many families to find high-quality, convenient and affordable care.

Only 8% of 3-year-olds and 16% of 4-year-olds were served by Washington’s state-funded preschool programs last year, according to a new report by the National Institute for Early Education Research. The April report ranked Washington 17th among U.S. states in preschool access for 3-year-olds and 33rd for 4-year olds.
